.:: Ramadan Goes... Syawal Comes ::.

I'm still not sleepy and I just feel like blogging... Its been a week I've not done so... Need to let off some steam over here...

Aidilfitri is just about 24hrs more to go.... Home is sort of ready... nothing glamourous for this year... Just use whatever I have previously...Except of course we bought new clothes for the 1st day of Syawal...

Ramadan came and almost gone like a breeze. Time doesn't flies anymore but just came in a rush without even waiting for us to catch up... I didn't prepare much this year and I didn't even feel like celebrating....

I discovered that as we grow older, our enthusiasm for Aidilfitri starts to diminish.... Can't wait to get over and done with all the visiting, putting on nice clothes and make-up.... Seriously! Doing all this for the sake of my parents and Ilyas.... Other than that, I just felt like hibernating at home and eating up all the cookies in front of the telly!

Towards the end of Ramadan, I felt a lil melancholic as I felt that I didn't make full use of the holy month to ponder, reflect and be spiritually involved. Well, I'm never too sure if I'm gonna see the next Ramadan, but I do hope that I'm able to..... Suddenly there's a rush of emotions and feelings that 'I'm not ready to go yet - kinda feeling', if you know what I mean....

Hokay, enuf of emo-moments! To me, this year's Ramadan has some 'turn of events' affecting my life....if not directly, some are indirectly..... Well, whatever come may.... Bring it on! Like any other shitty moments I've ever faced before, I'll pull thru the next challenges God has to offer me, insya Allah!

Last weekend was spent Raya sakan-ning with friends again. It started on Friday evening with a couple of friends who came over to our place.

Then on Saturday, went Raya outing with Bebeh's friends and Sunday was spent with my secondary school mates.

Hokay, at last I've uploaded last week's pics when we went to open house invites.

Last weekend, from Friday to Sunday, it was a back-to-back open house invites we've attended... Friday night, we headed to Abg Usop's crib...

Then got a last minute invitation from Zul Big Bird on Saturday...And on Sunday, went to Rasool's abode....

.:: Sick, Tired & Crappy ::.

I'm suppose to upload some of the Raya pics taken last weekend but I've yet to do so.... pretty busy plus not in a mood for this whole week to upload stuff....

Been under the weathers....even when I'm blogging at this moment, I'm like having mucus dripping out of my nostrils....hahaha....yeah, caught the flu bug....

So many things to blog about but each time I started to blog, I seemed to face writer's block! Darn! Anyway, weekend is here again and we had some of our friends who came over earlier....another batch coming tomorrow and another on Sunday.....Wow! More raya sakan-ning and I'm tired...plus I'm sick! Please don't mistake my whinings for not being sincere or anything like that....its just that I'm sick and I'm crappy!

Sheessshh....cepat la Raya over so that I can continue with my life....hahaha! I sound pathetic....well, this is the effect of a sick blogger who's trying her best to blog something interesting about her mundane life!

Recently, besides regularly updating stuff in Blogger & Multiply, I'm getting active into Facebook & Tagged.... hmm....can be quite addictive especially Facebook....once you've started clicking on stuff, you can't stop! That explains my delay in uploading the Raya pics.... chet! Hokay, hokay will do it soon....meanwhile, lemme get some sleep....

We hired a bus on the first day of raya and as usual, covered 11 homes....

2nd day, we lazed around at home the whole day and only to cover 2 homes after Maghrib...

.:: Raya Sakan Wif Frens ::.

The weekend was a blast!

We continued with our Raya visits after the short retreat. Started on Friday night by going to Ally's crib. Had dinner there with some frens and only left almost at 3am...

On Saturday afternoon, Raya visits continue to some of our frens' places and again it only ended close to 3am.... Can't help it when you are with good company.

Then on Sunday, went to my old fren, Jali's abode to meet up with some of my old skool frens for lunch. Sorry guys, only managed to join you at Jali's. I'll make it up to you some other time, hokay?

We then rushed to Jurong to meet Bebeh's old skool frens. In between of our Raya visit, dropped by at Midah's place to congratulate her on her engagement. And yes, yesterday, we were back to our own crib before 11pm!

.:: 1hb - 3hb Syawal ::.

First day of Aidilfitri is always packed with visiting older relatives.... We visited 13 houses! Most of them are families from my paternal side.

This time round, besides my old man's Toyota Wish, we rented a 12-seater van to ferry us around.

Then second day of Syawal, its time to visit families from Bebeh's side....and together with BIL, SIL & Mang Pari's family. In total, we visited about 9 homes...still can't beat the first day's record....hehehe!

Third day of Syawal, was similar like the day before...9 house visits and by the end of the day, we were quite tired.
