.:: Its Been A While... ::.

Hi peeps! Its been a while since I've last blogged.... Well there's nothing much to blog about, anyway...Except for recuperating at home, most of the time...

Went for Dr's check-up last Thursday and I've been given another month to rest and yes, I'm getting restless! I guess my bosses & team members are restless too! hehe...But too bad, they've gotto wait for my return... I really hoped that I can start working by May..

Hotak aku da naik berkarat sik dok lepak pat umah aje! Hahaha!

Anyway, my health has improved and I'm getting stronger each day. I've started walking independently and although I've still got a weak wrist (due to the surgery done @ SGH), I've started eating using the right hand..... Alhamdulillah

When April comes, we'll be shifting back to our own humble crib....no more weekend sleepover at our own home... Thanks to Mama & Papa for sacrifising their own bedroom for us to use for the past month. Yeah..at last! I miss my bed plus all the bantal busyuk tau...

Can't wait for April, hoping that its gonna be my last month of recuperation and hopefully by May, I'll be ready for work....I know my team needs me..sorry guyz, I'll make it up to you when I'm back....

Meanwhile, let me continue with my recuperation till full recovery ya.....

.:: Road To Recovery ::.

Its been 3 weeks I've been discharged from SGH. My road to recovery has been quite smooth, alhamdulillah....

I've been attending therapy sessions for my hand twice weekly at SGH and recently started to walk unaided.... Previously, my therapist at SGH gave me about 4 -6 weeks to start walking unaided but I'm proud that I could even do it much earlier....Yesterday, bumped into one of the nurses at SGH and she was quite surprised to see me walking again....

After my discharged, most of the time I was resting at my parents' and there were nites we would sit at ex-Rezki coffeeshop, me sipping my favourite ginger tea amongst friends & having a good chat....

One of the weekends, together with some friends, we visited the newly opened Changi Airport Terminal 3....It was a big place to venture & that's when bringing a wheelchair along came in handy....Well, you can't expect me limpng around in T3 do you?

Just last weekend, we were invited to Danie's 6th Birthday Bash...And what more can I ask for when I'm being surrounded by close friends and having great food to munch? Thanks Ally & Om for the invite.

On any other ordinary day, besides snuggling up in bed on rainy days, I would always have my little rascal to keep company and amuse me with his antics....

Although my road to recovery is gonna be a long one, I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone... I'm always surrounded by family & friends who are there to give me moral support.......

.:: My Recuperation In Hospitals ::.

The accident was on 16 Jan 08. I was brought to one of the hospitals in Thakek, Laos. I did not received any medical treatment except for some x-rays and the occasional pain-killer jabs, which needed to be paid first!

Alhamdulillah, there wasn't any excruciating pain for me... I remember vividly, that I was on & off dozing to lala land. I supposed that shock must have overcome the pain and Allah was kind to me....

Luckily for travel insurance (AIG), I was transferred to Bangkok the following day. Transportation was complete via land, sea & air! I was treated for my dislocated angle, broken arm & ruptured spleen. I must say that Bangkok Medical Centre have done a great job in nursing me back to health.

Thanks to Zul, Hazrin, Azhar, Abg Farid, Ally & Om who have travelled all the way to Bangkok to visit us there....Never felt so good to see familiar faces on a foreign land....

2 weeks later I was given the 'green light' to travel back home. All the hospital bills @ Bangkok, transportation costs & medical escort were fully paid by the travel insurance. AIG has done a fantastic job in the coordination work & ensuring Ithat I was in good hands.

In Spore, I requested to be transferred to SGH where the external fixation on my arm & metal pin at my feet were removed. A metal plate was then inserted to support my broken humerus. Recuperated for another 3 weeks in SGH before I'm back home.

Thanks to all family & friends who have visited me in both hospitals.... Your prayers, well-wishes & visits has made my recovery a speedy one!

More pics in here.
