I've just returned from the doctor and was given a day's rest tomorrow..... down with slight fever, throat inflammation and an irritating dry cough which refuses to go away...*And I'm still coughing away, while typing this*
Hopefully the doctor's drowsy medicines, antibiotics and a good rest will bring me back to good health, insya Allah....
Btw I've forgotten to post this pic for the past few days coz too sick & tired....
On Sunday, we went to my relative's wedding at Bedok South and we saw this when Bebeh parked his van at the MSCP ....
Oh la la.... such a beauty and if only the number plate is "FD6S"....

.:: Sick (Again)! ::.
Ok its only February and I'm already falling sick again! Bleaghh....Having this chesty cough and blocked nose seems to be coming up pretty soon! Darn!...
Maybe its lack of rest or maybe my body is too prone with sickness.... arrggghhh....

.:: In Loving Memory ::.
Yesterday morning, we received a tragic news that one of the Hayabusa riders whom we knew from Rezki has passed away due to a road accident at Perak, Malaysia.... Pillion has faced the same fate as him....The accident was reported in the local newspaper and in fact, was in the front page of today's Berita Harian.....
It was a shocking news to me and Bebeh.... Although we only knew him for a couple of months, he's always been friendly and we could easily strike a conversation with him.... Never did we expect such unfateful event would occur... and its so sad to see someone who shares your passion in riding having to pass away in such a tragic manner
Last night, we managed to visit his home to show the last respect... and we weren't surprised to see so many fellow riders & friends at his void deck waiting for his body to arrive from Malaysia....
Previously, I invited him as my multiply contact when I noticed that he viewed my Multiply webpage, likely to be seaching for stuffs on "Hayabusa" ... Since then we've been viewing each other's photos on riding trips....
It was him who told us about the new road (Simpang Pulai) to Cameron Highlands and it was such an irony that the fatal accident occurred only 500m after the exit of Simpang Pulai.....
And he didn't even get to celebrate his 24th birthday which is only tomorrow.... Life is so fragile.... *sigh*
Our deepest condolences to the family, friends & fiancee of Roslan @ Bob Hayabusa....
Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atas rohnya & sahabatnya, insya Allah....

.:: Cameron Highlands & KL ::.
Hi I'm Back!!! Alhamdulillah everything went well and smoothly...During the Chinese New Year long weekend, 12 of us decided to go for a riding trip to Cameron Highlands & KL
Journey started in the wee hours at about 4am to avoid the heavy traffic at the Immigration Checkpoint as well as the highway.
We decided to use the new route via Simpang Pulai exit to Cameron Highlands and it was a smooth ride indeed....a newfound favourite stretch of road by the riders...
Stayed for a night at Equatorial Resort before heading to KL the following day.... Its been a while we've not stayed at our favourite service apartment, Crown Regency....
The rest of the evening was dinner at KLCC and window shopping at Petaling Street.... It was people watching and eating our favourite Maggi Goreng Ayam before turning in almost at 3am.
The ride back to Singapore was alright and we went for seafood dinner at Senibong as well as meeting some of our frens who couldn't join us for the trip.
As usual, a riding trip without a video montage from moir is not complete, so here goes....

.:: Too Early? ::.
You can say that I'm kiasu but I think I gotto start packing our stuff for the trip by tonight!I foresee that the next few nights we might not be home early....gotto run some errands.... and Friday night is out coz need to turn in very very early!
So at least if I pack by tonight, I'll have a few more days to buy any stuff which I may need at the last minute.....(Seems to be a good reason to shop more!)

.:: Pirates, New Home & Bday ::.
Last Friday, went for my annual dept dinner at Rasa Sentosa...with the theme of Pirates of the PLDeans... Managed to win myself 2 prizes comprising of a water bottle for the 246th prize and stainless steel pots & pans for the 25th prize.... maybe this is to compensate the past years going home empty handed! LOL...
Then on Sunday went to Wak Wan's new home at Begonia Dr.... all my maternal aunts & uncles were there.... and here's a pic of some of them at the front gate....
And here's the dream house of my bro & sis-in-law,

Then a few of us went to Zul's place for dinner and to watch some touring DVDs...and of course it was Zul's birthday, so its a mini celebration for him & Yati whose birthday will be on the 18th....

I'm watching the movie "BLOOD DIAMOND" while typing this....
Set against the backdrop of civil war and chaos in 1990's Sierra Leone, Danny Archer, a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy, a Mende fisherman are joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon--who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields--has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone.
Its a great movie and watching this really made me think twice the next time I buy a diamond....
For those who love diamonds or the "bling bling", you should go watch this movie...

.:: Bad Hair Day & Birthday Shoutout ::.
In the morning I gave the hotel a call to check on my booking at Cameron & its confirmed! So we don't need to camp out in the cold at all....Phew!!!Thx Cik Nor for your offer to lend your tents & sleeping bags... We won't be needing them at all.... I doubt you'll have enough for 13 of us, anyway!

Oh, btw, we'll be staying at Equatorial Cameron Highlands
and all 13 of us may need to squeeze in their 3-bedroom apartment... Ssshhhhh! Pls don't tell the hotel staff!
So Idah, maybe, you can share with me how's the hotel like, huh? :)
I was so not in the mood to work for the past few days.... got lots to settle but not in a frame of mind to work & complete them.... so what did I do instead?
I took half day leave and went for a hair retreat.... Went to Yishun Northpoint to look up for my hairstylist who has shifted there....
Trimmed my hair, changed the colour and went for treatment....hopefully it will cure my bad hair days and will be in a mood to work when tomorrow comes!
We shall see...
Btw, here's a quick birthday shoutout to Ida whose birthday is tomorrow

.:: Early Nite, Perhaps? ::.
I woke up late this morning coz I couldn't hear the alarm and must have turn it off right after the 1st ring!The whole household was in chaos & was trying to get Bebeh to wake up and get ready for work..... Breakfast was packed and Ilyas was dropped off at my parents'.... unshowered & drowsy with the whole commotion....

The whole day I was like a zombie at work... with less than 4 hours of sleep, so what da ya expect?! Was comptemplating to take half day but managed to crush the tempting thoughts!
Oh by the way, even with the late night search for hotels at Cameron Highland, I still got turned down and I was pretty 'kan-chiong' by noon and managed to book one of the expensive 3 bedroom apartments there which till to-date the hotel is yet to confirm the booking!
So, does anybody have tents & sleeping bags to lend me?
Anyway, I'm too drained out to source for more rooms tonight and I might just turn in after this!
I need my beauty sleep BADLY!

.:: Arrrggghh!!!! ::.
YES! Its almost 3am and I'm still wide awake....Just completed submitting online reservations for accomodations at Cameron Highland and pending for confirmation.... 2 of my earlier reservations were turned down due to hotel rooms were fully booked.... Bummer!!
Crossing my fingers on this new online request....hopefully will pull thru coz I'm running out of ideas to book rooms for the 15 of us! If not, we gotto really consider camping out in the cold tea plantations of Cameron Highland! Hahaha.... ok, I noe, its a lame joke....
I'm not sleepy with the excitement going on....with no confirmed hotel rooms plus the tea I had at Singgah Selalu opposite Danga Bay.... was there with Zul's family for dinner..... He requested Bebeh to accompany him sent his van for repair and he treated us to dinner, in return....
Hmmph! Shall try to sleep for now coz gotto work tomorrow & I don't want to fall asleep at my workstation.... which most likely I'll be doing if I don't sleep NOW!

.:: Weekend of Activities ::.
Alright, I'm back... which means I have managed to book the lodging at Cameron Highland and pending confirmation....Ok let me update the details of my weekend...
Its been a packed schedule for us since Friday and only managed to get a breather for today...For more pics, click ---> here
Received an sms on the wee hours on Friday.... an old fren of mine has at last became a Father.... Congratz to Mat Rus & Effa, the proud parents of ARIAN DANISH... who weighed a hefty 3.25kg....
After work, rushed to Thomson Medical Center to visit the Newborn and Mommy...Going back to TMC bring back fond memories when I gave birth to Ilyas 5 years ago....
Then at night, a few of the GS & AT riders decided to have supper and top-up petrol at Gelang Patah.... Most of the time riders went without pillions but since it was the beginning of the weekend, a few of the pillions decided to tag along...
Surprisingly, Ilyas let me go since he had the computer games from NickJr and his Bibik to accompy him....so it was a win-win situation for both Ilyas and myself, ya?!

Initially, on Saturday we don't have any plans to go anywhere till Yus asked us out to JB for a late lunch, went to Kip Mart and top-up petrol for his car....
Back to Singapore and went to Nyonya's Salon.... Been a while I've not met her....and its my 1st visit to her salon...Juz dropped by to say hello and see for myself some of the photos which I took during our Trengganu-KL trip in Nov 06 was proudly displayed in her salon... Thx Yoou!
Then went back to Yus' place for dinner of Nasi Lemak bought from JB and Fried Chicken cooked by the man himself and we watched Borat before heading back...
Currently, I'm watching the final match between Spore & Thai at the comfort of my own home.... This time round its only me & hubby doing the 'Mini Kallang Roar' while our son ....

I'm seriously lack of updates with the activities I've been going thru for the past few days since Fri....I'm dying to blog so...I'll jus satisfy that part of craving 1st... hehehe!
Too bad I'm behind time to find lodging at Cameron Highland for the upcoming riding trip...so I've got to focus on that 1st...if not, we gotto sleep at the tea plantation! Hehehe....

.:: Soccer Final @ Home ::.
Last night, we got a couple of our frens to come over to our place to watch the finals between Singapore and Thailand.....
Complete with finger food, tidbits & drinks... Some even donned in red, feeling a bit patriotic or a mere coincidential....
As usual, watching soccer is never complete with shouts, criticisms, swears and comments.... but it was a fun get-together coz we were at the comfort of our own home.....
Wished to be at the Kallang Stadium to witness the last match before the 'old lady' closes for 'major overhauling' but too bad coz realistically, we wouldn't be able to be there on time when the match kicked-off.....
Anyway, happy that the Lions won even though there was a 15 minutes of drama & protest from the Thais..... at least it put them in the lead and come Sunday.... we are ready to support the Lions at an away match and this time round.... wonder who's place its gonna be for us to do the 'mini Kallang Roar'....
