.:: Wrist-Off ::.
Its been 2 days I've not used my wrist support.
Alhamdulillah.
Been 6 long months I've worn the wrist support as I had a 'wrist-drop' after the operation to insert a titanium plate to support my fractured humerus. My surgeon explained that the recommended plate size was slighlty bigger than my humerus and doctors need to shift my nerve a bit thus causing a wrist drop. Recovery of the nerve was a long and slow process and my surgeon's estimated recovery period was about 6-18 months.
Recently, I can flexed my wrist a bit but my palm is still weak. I still can't get a full grip from my right hand. Since my wrist has recovered, I found it a bit awkward wearing a wrist support so I decided not to wear it anymore. Its ok, gimme some time and things will improve, insya Allah.
And yes, got lots of comments & teasing from friends each time they see in in wrist support. A lot of name callings like 'Rocker Chic', 'Boxer', 'Bowler', 'Michael Jackson wannabe' and etc...just name it and their creativities run wild!
Well, I'm glad those days of wearing a black wrist support are over, hopefully for good! Need to get my right hand working actively again....
