.:: Kuantan's Trip ::.
On 23 - 24 Dec, 9 bikers and 4 pillions decided to proceed with our trip to Kuantan despite knowing that some of the coastal roads were affected with the flood in M'sia....We decided to have our own "Long Way Round" to Kuantan by using the long highway route instead.....
My Ipod Nano gave me problems just before moving off from Petronas 2nd link and there goes my ride with music in my ears......
Before the 1st stop at Pagoh, Raihan's saddlebag almost caught on fire when one of the plastic covers were in contact with the exhaust pipe.....
For lunch, we decided to stop at the R&R of Janda Baik (yes, its the name of the area) but Zul, being a 'corner enthusiast' totally missed out the exit to the R&R and Bebeh had to 'chase' after him to remind him of lunch!
At the R&R I was glad to see a handphone shop and managed to purchase an earpiece to listen to my MP3 in my N80..... and it was this earpiece which practically saved Roy and Hairi from being left behind when Roy's bike stopped suddenly on the highway to Kuantan (Roy called me when the rest were too engrossed riding)!
Managed to arrange Roy's bike to be left at an old fren's place in Kuantan and thanks Abg Wan Rahman for all the help and sorry for the inconvenience caused! Meanwhile, we headed to Duta Village Beach Resort to meet the rest of the gang....
The next day, went to Abg Wan Rahman's place to check on Roy's bike and luckily managed to get the bike start again....and by the time we geared up it was already pass 4pm to leave Kuantan & head for S'pore....
This time, we learnt that the flood has cleared and the coastal road could be used and off we went....reaching 2nd link for dinner at about 9pm!
Btw, my Nano was working perfectly well the next day when I tried to meddle with it.... maybe all these happened for a reason...a blessing in disguise perhaps?
