.:: Geylang Si Paku Geylang ::.

Last night went to Geylang with bro & his frens....and not even halfway thru...bro & sis-in-law gotto leave as one of their relatives passed away....

So the remaining ones continued our walkabouts at Geylang.....this year felt a bit awkward to see the empty plot of land which used to be Jln Pasar Baru....the old HDB flats have been demolished due to the SERS programme.....

Some of the bazaars which used to be near the old Geylang market have been relocated next to the temporary Market & hawker centre....It was quite crowded although its only the first week of the Ramadhan month....

Managed to buy a baju kurung for my son to match mine & Bebeh's ....Ilyas' old one da koyak! hehehe....

After the long walk, we went for a drink at the normal hangout before heading home at about 2am....

This is a special entry for an old fren....yes, another old fren whom I knew since my sec sch days.....

We attended the same class in our 4 years of sec sch and yes we also attended the same Polytechnic (luckily this time round of different courses)....

Its his birthday today....and looking back over the years, never did I expect that our friendship would have lasted this far....and for that, I'm thankful to have him as my friend....

For once I'm glad that my gut feeling was WRONG! Like what I've told some of my frens, I've got this stinking feeling that it could be Jon but I was crossing my fingers real hard!

I was thinking that people may not wanna have another Melayu to be crowned the next SI after Taufik Batisah ....but it seems that Singaporeans have made a wise choice by recognising Hady's talents instead of skin colour.....

Thank you Singapore, for proving me wrong.... :)

.:: Together Gather ::.

Yesterday had a great time spending with frens.....not only with 1 group but with 2!

In the afternoon, met up with Bebeh's old skool frens at Orchard...had the intention of having the cheap & last high tea at Cafe Vienna's but the queue was damn long so, we aborted the idea.....

Instead we went for a late lunch at Sofra Turkish Cafe & Restaurant and I had this....

I know, its a torture especially if some of you are seeing this in the daytime, since its fasting month! hehehe....

Then we went to Kampong Glam to have a drink & chat session at Samar complete with duduk bersila & drinking special formulated drinks from the Middle East, like the 'Kamaradeen' I had.....

After that, we bid adieu to them & went to meet up with another groupie....couldn't resist the invitation to 'rilek & lepak' at Faizal's to watch 'Remp-It' together with my brother & his frens..... It's a MUST SEE movie, tau!

Then this brady bunch decided to head down to Rubina's to have a late supper cum sahur for some of us......

Last night went for a BBQ at Downtown East together with my bro's frens, the Alter-Ego1 as they call themselves....

It was an advance birthday celebration for CT and despite the slight drizzle, all of us had great food & good fun mingling around....

Even Ilyas had fun playing with the in-house X-Box for the 1st time... See?

.:: Bruised Donation ::.

There was a blood donation drive at work today....As usual, went for my 6th blood donation.....

Unlike the previous 5 times, this time the nurses had some problems in getting my blood to flow smoothly....and they explained that my vein 'shifted' while one of them was trying to draw my blood! Urrggh....

At last, they could only get half a pint of my blood with my arm ended up looking like this! Poor me....boo hoo....

So, long sleeve tomorrow?

Btw, surprised to receive an email from an old fren who happened to stumble upon my blog.....not really him who stumbled but his wifey instead....hehehe.....

Since he commented that he can't leave any messages (not seeing, my comment link), I've decided to include a tagboard into my blog (which needs a new layout badly!)

.:: PD & Sepang ::.

Hi peeps....I'm back and as usual time flies when I'm having a great time! Bleagh....

We went to watch the MotoGP at Sepang over the weekend and yes! Rossi won....yippee! Tak sia2 aku gi Sepang....hehehe...

We stayed at Ilham Resort, Port Dickson and it was a great place to unwind.....so instead of going back on Sunday, we extended our stay till Mon and left Port Dickson on Mon instead.....

.:: Green Light Given! ::.

Bebeh went for his follow up check up this afternoon and was a relief to hear that the eye pressure reading was within the normal range....

Alhamdulillah....and he'll be back for another review on next Tue....

The dr who operated on him yesterday has given him THE GREEN LIGHT to drive to Sepang over the weekend! Yippee!!!

So I'm almost done with the last minute packing and....

Sepang.....here we cum!!!!

.:: Day Surgery ::.

On Tue, Bebeh went for his monthly check up at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and was told that he needed to go for a day surgery....

This time round its to remove the fluid in the cornea which has partially caused his eye pressure to be increasing.....and he was told that this day surgery is common among corneal transplant patients.....depending on individual body resistance....the lucky ones did it only once while others may have to do it a couple of times till eye pressure revert to normal....

So with not enuf time to panic, worry or delay the surgery, its all over by the time I typed this entry.....see how time flies?

And now he's sleeping....must be feeling a tad bit groggy after being partially sedated.....yes, he was NOT on GA when the surgery was done on him.....

So here's a pic of him while waiting to be called into the operating room....

Oh...I've forgotten to mention that he'll be on ONE MONTH MC from today onwards!

Luckily he still had a couple of days left of hospitalisation leave & MCs...and some personal leave to cover the remaining days of one month MC.....if not, he won't be receiving his pay check in a month's time! Phew!

And there goes our plan on going to Sepang over the weekend to watch the MotoGP.....

.:: Orchard Road ::.

Alright, after my last post, I did get my big fat ass down to Orchard Road together with Ilyas (after he had 2 hours of nap!)....

Its been a while we went out, just the 2 of us....so took a bus down to busy Orchard Road.....

Walk around at Takashimaya & had our late lunch at Mcdonald before meeting Bebeh at Toa Payoh.....

See? I did accomplish something, rite?

Errr....yup, I've permed my unruly rebonded hair recently, if some of you are wondering....

.:: Lazy Me! ::.

Yes, I'm at home coz on child MC as last night Ilyas was coughing & wheezing again (when he's a little active)....

However, the dr said that his lungs are alright and advised me to enrol Ilyas into swimming class....hhmmm...next yr perhaps, coz the rainy season has just begun! bbrrrrr.....

When I'm at work, there seemed to be so many things I wanted to do or go shopping or clean up the house.....but when I got the time to do it, like NOW....I'd be stuck in front of the pc monitor (at home) browsing thru the internet! bleagh....

Sheesshh....I gotto get my blardy damn ass movin' if I wanna enjoy my non-working day!!! But first, gotto get Ilyas take his afternoon nap....hahahah & I'm back to square one coz by the time he's awake, its too late to go anywhere & bebeh would be back by then.....

Shucks! The only explaination I've got for this is a 4 letter word and that is ...
