.:: A Year Older... ::.

Its past midnight and there goes my birthday.....I've turned 31 yesterday...yup 31 years old on 29 Aug 06...

Hopefully, with a year older I will also be a year wiser....ahakz!

I'm touched that this time round quite a number of people remembered that it was my birthday.....

Thank you to my family and frens for the birthday prezzies & bday wishes made thru smses (some even did it at the stroke of midnight), phonecalls & bday shoutouts @ blog....

Sincerely, thank you from the bottom of my heart.....and having you people around me are the best presents that I could eva received....

Btw, just now went for dinner at Mad Jack together with my bro in law & fiancee.... and had these...

My dad gave our family a dinner treat as someone in the family is gonna be 1 year older in a day's time....

Its been donkey weeks since I last watched the Singapore Idol or the Result Show.....

Only to check out the website on every Thurs after 9pm just to find out who's been voted out.....

And only earlier tonight that I've managed to plonked myself in front of the telly....

I was amazed with Hady Mirza's rendition of "Lagenda" originally sung by the M'sian Jazz Queen, Sheila Majid....so amazed that it brought me to tears when Ken commented that it was the BEST performance of the season!

Guess what? I even decided to cast in my vote for Hady! Singapore, its time to dig your ears and send in your votes wisely, like I did....

Yes Hady, u r my no. 1 choice to be the next S'pore Idol!

.:: Rojak Entry ::.

All right, here's a rojak entry....

At last, I've made up my mind on how to spend my July bonus which is fast depliting....

And as an advance birthday gift for myself, I bought this, yesterday ..... (and the old one is running out of value soon!)

Last night, met up with my brother & his friends at the usual coffeeshop hangout.....Zali's & Wati's family also joined us for a drink....

Not enough with just drinks & a chat session, a few of us decided to play bowling at Superbowl Marina....till the wee hours in the morning....Only to turn in almost to 5am this morning...

Another quick update on events that happen for the past few days of my life....

On Tuesday, I was on child MC.....Ilyas was having this nasty cough but thank God it was not asthma! In the late afternoon, went to watch 'The Ant Bully' together with Bebeh & Ilyas at Lot 1....

Then, we went for dinner at Siam Kitchen to celebrate Nizam's birthday....so here's a quick shoutout to my BIL....

I'm having a headache & making this entry a fast one.....Need some sleep BADLY!

Ilyas has managed to learn the 2nd set of spelling list & this time, he's faster in not only writing the words but also recognising the alphabets.....

Surprisingly unexpected of him & Alhamdullilah! I'm glad & proud of him...

So here's some pics I took of him earlier when we were revising (after slacking over the weekend!)... haha!

.:: Fireworks Again ::.

Last night went to watch the display of fireworks again....this time round, we were on time & managed to find a closer spot....(except for some trees blocking part of the view & an absence of a tripod! bleaggh!)

Brought Mak, Ciko & Sofiy along to catch the fireworks display from France and as expected there was a big crowd turn up....

Just to watch a 15 minutes of Fireworks galore, there was a sea of people crowding around Marina Bay and don't forget, the massive traffic jam! And mind you, this firework display ain't cheap....

.:: Fireworks & Marine Parade ::.

Last night, we didn't get to watch the full view of the colourful display of fireworks at Marina but only managed to watch the last few minutes of it somewhere near Millenia Walk....

The streets were crowded with people trying to get the best location to watch the burst of colours lighting up the night at Marina for at least 15 minutes.....

Wished I was along Fullerton Rd with a camera tripon and all....but only managed to capture some shaky shots and only seeing the 'belen-belen bunga api'.....Well, at least something than nothing at all, right?....

We then went to Marine Parade to meet up with the rest of the gang for a chat session which ended around 1.15am.....

.:: Project Supermarket ::.

There was another school project which Ilyas gotto submit by tomorrow....another parental involvement thingy.....& like the previous submission.....aku jugak yg kena buat!

This time the theme of the project is "Trip To Supermarket"....But not bad for this time round as Ilyas did help out in pasting stickers & he did the ending page cover hehehe....

So both of us stayed up last night till 1am to finish up his project & here's the end product....

Yesterday, my son was rummaging thru the dashboard compartment of Bebeh's company van & found my old pair of shades.....so he put them on &....tadaaa....here's the look of My Mr Cool....

Today the nation celabrates 41 years of independence.....Happy Birthday Singapore! And guess what? Bebeh has bought for me an advance birthday prezzie for me too!!! Thanks darling....& love you loads!

So here's presenting my new toy.... Sony Cybershot T30 ....can't wait to try it out!

.:: Yesterday ::.

Not wanting to go home & left with a few hours to spare before meeting up with Mamang Pari & Nizam, we decided to bring Ilyas to Mount Faber to see cable cars for a closeup view (without having to ride in 1 of them, of course!)

It was a HOT afternoon, I tell ya & we were sweating all over at Mt Faber...Luckily, Ilyas wasn't that cranky & didn't need much coaxing when we told him that we weren't taking any cable car rides ....

At night, we went to Yus' place for housewarming....been a while we've not met the rest of the brady bunch...We were busy chatting & catching up on each other's latest development...till there's simply no time for me to snap photos of our gathering.....

Saturday pass in a breeze and now I'm left with not much of Sunday to spend......Why does weekend need to be so short? But its okay....when the nation celebrates its 41st Birthday on Wed, its gonna be rest time for me again!
