.:: Tired & Sleepy ::.
I'll make it short for tonight's entry.....The whole day was practically busy at work......some data collections needed to be submitted to Dept Head, some last minute arrangements & meetings were to be made.....Calling up people to pay up & remind them on court hearings.....(this part makes me sound like a tailong, huh?)....
Blardy hell!!! And to top it all up, I've got this blunt pain on my left kidney area and a splitting headache till lunch hours! Luckily panadols saved the rest of my day....
Visited bebeh and Dr Chan said he's healing progressively but its very slow.....not too sure when he can be discharged.....My parents and I are now all geared up and getting mentally prepared, plus doing contingency planning in the event, bebeh can't be discharged before my brother's wedding day.....
Blardy fungal infection! Damn contact lens & damn solutions....damn damn damn!!! I guess i'm getting sleepy and do pardon me on my ramblings! Damn! K gtg to bed......
Hopefully tomorrow's a better day!

.:: Stabilised ::.
In the morning, my bebeh's eye check up was fluctuating.....for a while one of the drs said that the infection has gone deeper.....another moment, the another dr said he's getting better....their comments were making both of us jittery.....But I only trust Dr Chan's verdict and when he saw her in the afternoon, she said he has stabilised..... *phew* and need to continue with the eye drops for another week, at least! Bebeh told her abt us and she explained that I recovered faster due to bacterial infection, which was easier to be treated, compared to his which is a fungal infection.....
Btw, yesterday another patient next to bebeh was warded due to the same cause, fungal infection.....both of them were so cute, seeing the same specialist (Dr Chan), bebeh's infected with the right eye and his neighbour is down with the left eye......teased bebeh that they could hold hands and guide each other around with the healthy eyes....hehehe....
He seems chirpier today and in better spirits.... hopefully, he's on the road to recovery & better be fast as my brother's wedding is in less than 2 weeks' time!

.:: Not Getting Worse ::.
Juz called bebeh to check on him.....the dr has seen him this morning and said that its not getting any worse, so the 5th drop (which cost an atomic bomb! 4 digit amt...can u imagine?) will not be given to him yet.....Alhamdulillah!So they'll continue monitoring him....that's a piece of good news....as yesterday i was kindof worried seeing him in pain and not doing well.....he kept saying that the threshold of pain was getting higher....we were scared that the fungal has spread .....
Its so difficult to see bebeh in low spirits coz naturally he's a happy chap, foreva noisy & teasing people just like a badut (clown)....even his nickname is badut and it resembled him a lot.....so yesterday was like seeing a badut in depression! :) Such an irony, rite?
I hope with the piece of good news he received today, it would lift up his spirits a little.....

.:: Warded @ SGH ::.
Bebeh went for his check yesterday morning & Dr Chan wanted him to be warded as his eye didn't get any better....
So back to memory lane, he was warded just two rooms away fr the last time i was there.....Even some of the nurses looked familiar....
But it seems that bebeh's condition is worse than mine as his eyedrops keep increasing and even this morning the dr was prescibing another eyedrop which makes to 5 in total!
Dr said that the infection has spread to the centre of the cornea and now he's beginning to see the 'hazy effect'....that's why the 5th eye drop was prescibed.....and if getting worse surgery may be required! Huh? What surgery? Are they talking abt removing the fungal stuff or meaning corneal transplant???? I'm scared....but gotto be strong for him...need to be there for him.....Pls God give me strength!
Poor bebeh! Hope everything would be ok, insya Allah....Ilyas is currently sound asleep...will be visiting bebeh once he's awake.....

.:: Corneal Ulcer Too! ::.
Bebeh has been complaining that his right eye was in pain since Sunday and he's been to the GP twice.....and it was not getting any better...The sign & symptoms were similar to my previous experience, except for the 'hazy vision'.....in fact by yesterday evening, I could see the white spot on the right lower portion of the iris....and it seems bigger than mine....Yesterday the GP wanted him to have a check again due to the news of that Bausch & Lomb scare and in fact bebeh was not getting any better.....so he was referred to A&E SGH....
It was not so crowded in A&E....even got a bag ready for him in case he was supposed to be admitted.... so the dr took scrapping samples fr his eye to test & determine if its bacterial or fungal (not too sure what's the difference & which 1 is more serious) and given him 2 eye drops to be used at half hour interval....the medications were similar to mine.
With 3 days MC, he need not stay in the hospital (he declined the dr's offer).....Not fair! I was having the same ordeal previously but the dr didn't asked my opinion if I wanted to stay in the hospital....she MADE me stay in the hospital....no choices, no offer to decline, it was MANDATORY for me! Ok la mine was more serious than him coz that bloody corneal ulcer was smacked almost right in the middle of my bloody cornea! That's why I got the 'hazy vision' while bebeh can still see clearly even when he's ulcer was bigger than mine!
Last nite, almost every hour woke him up to use the eye drop (& now I'm getting a splitting headache!)....
Went to SNEC this morning and the dr bring him to see the specialist to confirm if it was a corneal ulcer.....and guess who's the specialist? The same as mine, dear Dr Chan! hahaha....and sadly but truely, bebeh was confirmed having corneal ulcer!
The dr prescribed him a 3rd eye drop (which i didn't use before and it was damn expensive!) and he's supposed to return to SNEC tomorrow morning for another check....
My poor bebeh (currenly resting) is suffering fr corneal ulcer....just like me....aren't we really meant for each other?.....sakit pon nak sama2 penyakit....Bebeh, ni la yg i rasakan dulu!....hehehe....
Both of us were using the same brand of lenses and the same brand of solution......both of us changed lenses regularly, he just changed the casing recently, the solution hasn't expired yet....i got it, he got it...so who's to blame? Isn't it obvious?

So contact lens users out there......see for yourselves and learn fr our mistakes!

Have you peeps read the news abt the Bausch & Lomb contact lens solution scare????? Eeeeeeksss!! I used to use that multi purpose solution care, u know?See what happens to me now? I don't know if its of any relation to my corneal ulcer BUT i used to use that solution!!!!

.:: Homework ::.
I've emailed back my work & abt to start on it.......Last minute @5.40pm my bosses wanted some amendments & details (which I've been working on since morning) to be inserted to their data which they need to present to dept head by tomorrow @ 10am....My Unit Head even came to me at 6pm (knock off time) to check how I was getting along......I simply told me that I'll work fr home and assured him not to worry & have a good sleep tonight.....
And how do I feel at the moment?........simply PISSED OFF!!!!

.:: Tribal Nite & JB ::.
Last nite, my dept held a 'Tribal Nite' dinner at SAFRA Changi.....since the theme was 'Tribal Nite' some of my colleagues from my Unit was wearing the Red Indian head gear....and CONGRATS to them for getting the 2nd position for the best dressed table...
Here's a fanatic fan from the band "KISS"....(ada kena mengena ke dgn our tribal nite theme? Gasak je lah.....)
The food was mouth watering (maybe coz most of us were hungry)....but after a couple of bites, nah....it was just ok....

We then to JB to collect the clothes to be worn on my Bro's wedding....& the clothes turn out well.....After that headed for Carrefour and Ilyas wanted to play in the entertainment centre.....here's his pics showing him in action....

.:: Davidoff & Vacation Revealed.... ::.
Kindof surprise when bebeh bought for me a Davidoff 'Coolwater' perfume (one of my favourite perfume & its the 1st perfume I eva bought for him on his b'day).....he even bought one for himself.....told me that there was some Valentine sales going on at the company he serviced and he decided to buy the perfumes for us......hehehe so touching....luv u bebeh.....u really know how to surprise me at times.....(u shd do this more often, eh! hehehe)So my vacation on March has been confirmed as I've made full payment to the travel agent earlier today......Guess where we'll be going? Hmmm...let me give u peeps some clues......
- Bebeh & me love that place
- Some called it the 'land of the Gods'
- Its gonna be our 3rd time going there....
- The scenic view is simply gorgeous, friendly people and a shopping paradise for some...

.:: Tuesday At A Glance ::.
Received a phonecall around 6am.....it was Chu....one of his fren's bike having problem ....BIG problem till they got to use the train service to send the bike back to Spore....(he proceeded with the Hatyai trip as his frens wanted his companion and they are willing to foot some of the bills, but now not too sure if their budget has burst!)...Anyway, hopefully everything is ok for the rest and they should be back latest by tomorrow morning....The rest of the morning was a mad rush at work.....need to confirm certain stuff for my upcoming vacation (yup! me going for another vacation...isn't life such a bliss!)....It was a good offer...too good to resist and his brothers & Norliah are interested too...even Kak CT & family are joining us.....hehehe.....I shall only reveal the destination on Thurs when full payment has been made....(which reminds me, I need to apply for leave....*sigh* I guess my covering officer won't be that happy....but wat de heck, taking leave is my entitlement and if she can't cover me, I've got others who are willing do it, without complaining!...)
In the evening, went to Westmall to buy my son a pair of his school shoes as he has outgrown the current one & my poor baby has been getting blisters lately ....As usual, he was whining & whining, hoping that we would bring him to the entertainment centre to play games....we simply refused....He then changed his tactics by begging us to buy for him toys....most of the time, at this 2nd level of tactic, we would crumble & bought for him even if it means a $1 toy.....but this time round, we were determined.....We were heading to the carpark and passed by a cake shop, from a toy request he changed his mind and wanted a cake (see, how smart, this little fellow is?).....Started to shed crocodile tears hoping that his mummy would pity him & lose the battle....but guess what? It was victory for me & bebeh as we didn't get him anything and by the time we were in the van, he wasn't crying or sulking.....my dear Ilyas simply gave up and lost interest in wateva things he was begging for earlier! Yippeee.....

We went to Ciko's place today and she wanted us to buy crickets to feed her 'Arowana' fish.....and Ilyas was so excited to see crickets for the first time!Our conversation goes like this ;
Ilyas : Ibu, see! (excitedly holding a box of crickets which bebeh had bought)
Me : What's these, darling?
Ilyas : Karlak! (Coachroach)
Me : No....
Ilyas : hmmm .... Butterflies!!!
Me : (lol) No darling, they are Crickets.
Ilyas : Crickets....
Me : Yes, clever boy!
I guess, its time for me to bring my kid to the zoo or open up more books and expose him to more insects and stuff, huh?
.:: Mersing & Kota Tinggi ::.
Yesterday we went for riding trip to Mersing & Kota Tinggi....Together with my brother & his frens we moved off fr JB around 10.30am....Reached the Bistro which we last visited in Christmas around noon, just on time for lunch.....
We had yummylicious (seems to be my favourite word to describe good food, nowadays) lunch but unfortunately, my dear brother was having a tummy upset.....and luckily 'Poh Chai Pills' did wonders for him!
Initially, the trip was only to Mersing but everybody seems can't get enuf of riding....so we decided to head to Kota Tinggi.....However, we didn't get to see the waterfall as there was an entry fee of RM9 for adult & RM1 for motorcycle.....We thought that it wasn't worth it so we ended up hanging around the main entrance of Kota Tinggi till it was time to head back.....

On the whole, it was a short trip just to let off steam and 'gian' for riding....most of us can't wait for the Penang trip scheduled in end April!

.:: Girls' Day Out ::.
In the morning, I was feeling feeling kindof crappy & no mood to work so took half day leave.....dragged Kak Lo to accompany me shopping at town.... not much of persuasion needed as she was feeling the same way too! Yippee....My obsessive compulsive disorder to shop began in Wheelock Place (WP) ....At Addidas Boutique, bought ClimaCool t-shirts for myself & bebeh.....and bought a pair of Birkenstock 'Papillio' sandals (actual intention to WP)....and here's the pic..
We then went for lunch at Ayam Penyet @ Lucky Plaza....It was Kak Lo's 1st visit....the food was simple but yet delicious & filling! I simply lurve the Avoccado Juice! Its so creamy, sweet & yummilicious!!!!
After that, we went to Wisma Atria & Takashimaya....was looking for a top to wear at the dept's dinner next week but unfortunately couldn't find any which suits me....instead made up my mind to just dig out stuff fr my wardrobe and make do with it :(
On the whole, the shopping therapy helped me to unwind and thanks to Kak Lo for having the patience to layan my kerenah!

.:: Compliment & The Call ::.
Today was the last day of course....we had this group project & after my group's presentation, there were questions imposed to us and as the group leader, I managed to answer them.....or bluff my way thru!Least expected, our lecturer complimented the way I handled the questions given to me....she said, I was cool and able to answer them well, under pressure....hehehe....
She even complimented me again at the end of the course and I told her it comes with the job.....I guess, facing & listening to difficult customers almost everyday has made the 'cool' person I am today! hahahah....like real! Anyway, felt nice to be complimented & appreciated....
Chu smsed me to say that he won't be going to the Hatyai trip over this weekend with his buddies due to financial shortage and while we were sms'ing I received this call & guess who?? It's bro po whom I haven't heard from in ages!

(chu, i noe you are reading this, so juz bear with me & forgive me, k?)
There's one point in my life where both my bruders, bro lo & bro po were close to me, they were there for me when I was falling into depression due to pre-wedding blues & facing a conflict with a close fren...till now both of them are very dear to me for i appreciate them being there when I needed support most....
Recently, due to some personal conflicts (which i don't want to elaborate) chu seemed to give up his frenship on bro po.....leaving me caught in between and I guess, bro lo is not aware of this....
Due to his nature of easy going, taking things / frenships for granted, forever busy.....appears when he needs favours, bla bla bla....bro po's not even aware that chu has 'pangkah' his name from his list to the extent of erasing all of bro po's contacts from his hp!
I understand chu very well and frankly speaking I'm kindof sad that chu has made up his mind not to regard bro po a fren anymore....However, I understand and respect his decision....I'm caught in between as I really really love them both and to me frenship is precious!
Seems right now my mind is not really working that well to 'act' councilor and try to patch things up for both of them or at least convince chu to change his decision but.....i sincerely hope one day i can change the current situation to a better ending instead of a bitter one.....

.:: 1st Sunburn & Dehydrated ::.
Guess what? I'm on child mc today....so here I am surfing the net while Ilyas is sound asleep.....My poor son was down with high fever, his cough got worse, vomitting and his mucus is thickening.... luckily his lungs were clear which means its not asthma! Phew!
The doctor was telling us that he's dehydrated and he's quite surprised to see Ilyas with a sunburn....The dr said that the sunburn indicated that Ilyas has lost quite an amt of water and need plenty of fluids to recuperate.....
Poor Ilyas, he got his 1st sunburn while playing at the Wild wild wet last Sat and in return, he got sick.... so down goes my child mc for the 2nd day and its only January.....Left with 3 more days to survive till end of this yr....boo hoo hoo....
Anyway, here's some pics showing off Ilyas' 1st sunburn....
