.:: A&E, MC & Bali... ::.
Last Fri nite, my bruder met with an accident at Tanjong Rhu and all of us rushed to SGH A&E....we were quite glad that his condition was not as bad as the last accident he met 2 yrs ago....this time round its only his knee (which was already originally 'koyak' in his NS days)...Then on Sat morning my little devil woke up crying in pain....he complained that his left knee and calf area was in pain....he was even limping when we made him walk......I was supposed to work and got bebeh to bring him to the dr at our blk.....he was then referred to KKH for further check & x-ray....another episode in the A&E....
We were in KKH's A&E for more than 4hrs....went for x-ray twice (as the 1st one, the dr was not happy with the angle taken!....gggrrrrr!)....even went for blood test to check if he's got arthritis....ended up everything was normal and the dr suspected of inflamation to the tendons or sumthing like that....made us come back again earlier today for checkup (which confirmed that everything was ok!)...The nurse bandaged his knee and after that he was jumping around as per normal! grrrrrr....
After that, we visited my bro at SGH and here's a pic of both of them in bandaged knees heheheh....
I've been under the weathers for the past few days.......went to see the co's dr on Mon afternoon...I was down with cough, fever & flu so the dr gave me an MC for yesterday.....
Sri has left us for good yesterday (at last!) and managed to fetch the new maid, Dina in the evening....hopefully she would be able to perform better than Sri....
Tommorrow will be leaving for Bali......do pray for our safe journey and hope that we will enjoy this vacation to the fullest.....Will update the blog once I'm back.....with more stories and pics on Bali.......Yahoo!!!

.:: Quick Updates ::.
Heya!!!! Been preety busy for the past week and here's some quick updates.....
Wed 16/11/05 - Finally made a hotel booking for our trip to Cherating during Christmas. Booked 2 rooms at Residence Inn Cherating. The hotel is quite near to Club Med....3 star hotel...I guess should be okay since we are only staying for a nite...
Thurs 17/11/05 - Nothing much I can recall off.... oopss sorry! :)
Fri 18/11/05 - Went to Ilyas' Graduation Spectacular Nite @ Singapore Polytechnic Auditorium...My little devil was so cute wriggling his butt to the song of "Pretty Woman" from the Hindi movie "Kal Ho Na Ho" (1 of my favourite Hindi movies starring Shah Rukh Khan).....At first, I couldn't spot him and later saw he was performing on the right side of the stage while I was sitting on the far left.....He was dancing to the song and when it was not yet finished he just decided to go to the backstage!! OMG... and later some of his nearby frens saw him and followed him to the backstage! It was cute and hilarious seeing him dancing....just bring tears to my eyes....My 3 yr old son doing his 1st performance, wearing a Punjabi suit....Awww....I've yet to download the pics....will do soon....
Sat 19/11/05 - It was my Brother's Birthday! Happy 27th Birthday Mohamad Sufiyan.....Hope u had enjoyed your b'day to the fullest with your dearest fiancee & frens.....Me went hari raya visiting with my HDB & LTA frens....since my digital camera was full with Ilyas' concert pics, I didn't took any photos this time.....been quite a while since the last time I went out with this bunch.....
Sun 20/11/05 - Attended 2 weddings. First was Kak Yah's son at Bedok....went with my little devil taking the MRT there....Bebeh was doing his mashall duty at Kallang....Ilyas was so sleepy in the train and luckily managed to get seats before he started throwing tantrums....then went to Fizah's wedding
Mon 21/11/05 - Didn't felt like going to work but managed to drag myself there.....during lunch managed to buy some toiletries and stuff for the Bali trip.....hahaha...talk about Bali....can't wait for that trip.....It's been on my mind eversince everything was confirmed ...... hhhmmmm.... Bali....I'd lurve to visit some of the places which I missed during my 1st visit...places like Tanah Lot, Ubud, Uluwatu.....I hope this time round, it'll be a better trip.....
Tue 22/11/05 - Still no mood for work....the holiday mood is in, for sure! At night, we turned in quite early and was almost 'lights off' around 10pm....then, his cousin called saying that he's coming for Raya visit tog with parents......we quickly got off bed and prepare stuff....hahah.....ended turn in almost to midnite!
Wed 23/11/05 - After work, went to catch "Harry Porter and The Goblet of Fire".....halfway thru the movie, my little devil got cranky and was asking to go home.....its kindof boring for him! and the movie was not up to my expectation.......not as good as the previous ones.....too much of talking and not much of elaboration.....a bit disappointed!
Thurs 24/11/05 - That's today!...Bebeh and myself were on leave from work for today....we went to JB tog with parents to send some cloth to the tailor....they are meant to be worn on my bro's wedding day....after that went to Carrefour and Secret Receipe....managed to buy DVDs...bebeh bought a thai movie about elephants "Tom Yum Goong" and I bought "Flightplan"....a great movie by Jodie Foster......

.:: BALI Here We Cum! ::.
Yeah...yeah! At last everything has been confirmed that we are going to BALI on 01 Dec 05 till 05 Dec 05......And we are going together with our ex-riding kakis (their GS caught on fire...that's why ex-riding kakis)....c/o Yus & Ida.....Thanks to Yus for co-ordinating & comparing prices to get the best deals on flight & accomodation in Bali.......
And guess what?.....We'll be staying in HARD ROCK BALI HOTEL.....!!!! Yahoo...me so happy and at last my prayer is answered!!!
Stay tune for more stories of Bali from now till at least for a month from today....hahaha....
.:: Sad Scene ::.
During lunch time, I went to Joo Chiat Complex to run some errands and decided to take a cab back to office. I was queing at the taxi stand opposite Joo Chiat and there were 2 Qs formed in front of me....I noticed there's this elderly man trying to flag taxis to stop at the stand and he was just wearing a pair of torn socks......and the 1st couple of elder folks boarded the first cab and thanked the old man.....he doesn't seem to be asking for money from them. Merely, doing an 'extra service' for them or rather for us who's queing at that taxi stand.....
The next cab took quite a while to come and I was practically looking or observing what this old man was doing......he was like flagging taxis down without any rest and putting on a smile to us (people at the taxi stand) and telling us to wait for a while......He was a common scene at that taxi stand as I recalled vividly that he was also around over the last Ramadhan when I went to Geylang with my colleagues.
To me, he seems quite old enough to be a grandfather who should be at home enjoying his retirement and spending time playing with his grandchildren rather than being at a taxi stand flagging for taxis and hoping for meagre donations from taxi drivers or people queing......my heart suddenly goes out to him....
Initially, frankly speaking, I was contemplating whether to give him some 'tips' or not but after observing him for quite a while, I just pulled out some notes and passed it to him upon the arrival of the taxi for me to board......and when he saw the notes, he was so pleased and happy that I knew from his words of saying 'thank you' to me, it was so sincere......
On the way back to office, the earlier scene made me think of how much of that amt I would normally spent unnecessarily but instead it meant a great deal for someone else who needed it more than i do...
Don't be mistaken, that i'm putting this over in my blog to say that I'm asking for a praise and to show off on how kindhearted or how generous I am....no its not that.....I just wanted to share the sad scene I saw today and how I hope that whateva I gave him would at least made him happy and made his day coz it really did for me......

.:: Stress!!! ::.
I'm feeling kindof STRESS at the moment!!!! It seems that the trip to Sunway Lagoon is cancelled due to poor response (anyway, both me & bebeh not too keen on that location!) and I'M supposed to be the one to source out for other location!!!! Me got till this Sat to come out with proposals for his dear frens......'MAK TOLONG!!!'Actually, been wanting to go to Pattaya since neva been there before but his fren da pegi pulak.....wanna go to Kuching....pon his fren da pegi.....hhmmm....Bali..Bali...Bali...
Argghh......very stress liao!!! Jia lat ah....den the riding trip to Cherating during Christmas hols, me oso haven't book the apartment!!!! Arrgghhh more stress......damn....die oready....sure 'kena' fr my bebeh....dia apa tau? Expect everything to be in tip top condition je..... Arrrgghhh......'MAK TOLONG!'
Y on the first place my parents' & relatives fr my maternal side wanted to Jakarta on the week when me gotto work (10 Dec to 13 Dec) over the weekend?....kalo tak bole join......shheeesh...just purely my luck...!

Chu called me earlier to ask on my email add....so we ended up chatting for a while....great to know that he's doing well in his work (although he's busy like hell!) & also doing preety well with mak mah.....like previously mentioned in my ecard to him, 'No new means good news'! Anyway, mak mah has sort of showed him to her mom & bro...seems that the rest of the family is gempak about this!! hahaha....
Chu, if you are reading this......my advise is, take ur time but not too long, ya! Heehee....coz it means a lot esp for mak mah who has never introduced any guy frens to her family before.....u mean something to her...jeng jeng jeng...
BUT, wateva it is, me wishing the both of u the very best of luck and me just can't imagine 'introducing' the 2 of u 5 yrs ago coz its simply a clash of personalities...hehehe.....however, now seems a good time to do so as both of u have mellowed over the yrs....could be due to the age factor, hhahahaha........

.:: Replacement Found ::.
My Bebeh ended up taking a MC for today....so expected of him....hahaha....anyway, nevamind as he seldom takes MC (unlike of me..heheh!)So managed to call Abg Azman from the maid agency and he advised us to come down to his office and choose a new maid since I'm still eligible for a free replacement.....
Actually, there's only 1 lady from Cilacap (my old man was saying the gals from Cilacap are preety hardworking & very independant and e.gs are like Bibik Narisah, Bad, Lis & Maria who are from those part of Indonesia) BUT she's too expensive for me as I got to top up extra 'kechinggs' for the package and her monthly salary if i really want her.....So there goes my Cilacap gal.....
Narrowed down to 2 gals....1 with 2 months of experience at HK and the other with 2 yrs of experience working at Surabaya.....After consulting with my mom, decided to go with the 2 yrs of experience.....interviewed her through the phone but she just sound so depressing, sound like being tortured gitu....(not a good sign if I were to choose her!)....furthermore, she doesn't know how to cook (an important criteria for my mom) as her previous duties with her old employer was to take care of the employer's 6yr old child & do minimum housework......So there goes my 1st choice...
Then, Ameera, the lady working at the maid agency passed me a porfolio of another lady....she's only 23, has no working experience but used to household chores, knows how to cook and took care of her own child.....Interviewed her thru the phone and the minute I said 'Hello', she greeted me with a salam....(a good start!) ....and she sound very positive and she's willing to learn....when tested her cooking knowledge, she managed to come out with the main ingredients for cooking Rendang....(not bad, eh..)...and under her observation remarks, the agency commented that she's hardworking and neat & tidy (telaten), something which i need in a maid, so we ended up choosing her...hopefully, she won't disappoint us.....of course la we got to train her (since got zilch experience) but at least she can cook Rendang and she's telaten! Heeehee...
I guess, the main reason my heart was choosing her was because she started off with a salam, able to cook, willing to learn and sound cheerful & positive.....the rest, is yet to be proven....
After that, we went to Bukit Merah to meet Jason to pay him our wrot iron gate and after that shopped a travelling bag for Sri....(After telling me she wanted to end her contract, she's like so eager to go home....asked me to buy for her bag la, shoes la....) da la...aku da tawar hati dgn si Sri...the earlier the new maid, Dina comes the better so that I can send Sri off.....she just disappoints me.....Mom & me have been tolerating with her attitude, which at times slow in her work and ended up she's the one who wanted to go back.....da la...maybe its a blessing in disguise...apa2 yg terjadi ada hikmahnya, insya Allah....

.:: Eid Mubarak & Confrontation ::.
Its already into the 4th day of Syawal....hopefully its not too late to wish all my brothers & sisters in Islam a happy Eid Mubarak, Maaf Zahir & Batin.....
For the past few days been busy visiting relatives and even some frens have visited me & bebeh....took some pics of our raya outing & will upload once I get back to office....coz unfortunately I don't have a card reader for a compact flash card.. :(
Yesterday gotto know from I'is (Mang Pari's maid) and my old man that my maid wanted to stop working with us from Dec onwards as her family wanted her to go back to take care of her ailing grandmother. Initially, I was quite pissed off as I didn't get to know the news from my maid herself. So bebeh & myself confronted her. True enough that she wanted to leave by end of Dec. She has tried pacifying her family to let her stay till her 2 yr contract ends before she returns but they wanted her to be back as soon as possible....
Well, after much thinking, I think its pointless to make somebody stay and yet she can't perform her duties well as she's caught in between of her family's wish & her 2 yr contract with us.....Luckily, I still have a free replacement maid as Sri has only worked for less than a yr....I guess tomorrow gotto call up the agency to find out more....Gggrrrr....

.:: In Loving Memory Of... ::.
Yesterday, we were busy going around collecting cakes and sending them between Ciko's place & parents'....initially thought of breaking fast at Ciko's place...and Mak was busy preparing the ketupat....its been years I've not anyam those ketupats....and like expected I forgot how to do them....Uurrgh....and Mak was like saying its retribution for not making a habit of making ketupat yearly.....hahah....ya rite! Where got time.....me so lazy and busy with work....tau order je....hehehe...Then Nizam called to collect cake from his place so we aborted the decision to fast at Ciko's....otw there my bebeh received a phonecall from his colleague that his old fren, Azid has passed away....Innalillahi wa'inallillahi roji'un....The last time bebeh visited him was only last week at NUH....he really didn't expect that Azid would leave so soon....but bebeh was glad that at least he is free from the pain and suffering......at last!
Azid seems to have this disease which attacks his muscle and making him totally paralyse...the drs were saying that there's no cure and he's one of the youngest in the world to have this terrible disease.....
So we visited his place after breaking fast....managaed to see his body for the last time....hopefully he's in a better place, and semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat oleh Allah yg maha kuasa, insya Allah....
