.:: First Day Of Work ::.
Last night managed to watch the result of the Amazing Race and was so surprised that the Paolo family (the Italian family) was not eliminated, instead it was the Black family.....surprise...surprise....nothing is impossible in the Amazing Race...Today returned back to work after been recuperating for 2 weeks at home.....As expected, colleagues were asking abt the contact lens incident and giving encouragement that wearing specs would still be the best option.....hahaha...ya rite!
Not a surprise when I opened my mailbox & I've got over 500 unread mails!! Goodness me...quarter of the day was spent clearing them! The rest of the day was spent clearing some backlog...
Chu sms me in the morning and he told me that tomorrow will be his last day of work at Gul Tech and starting his new job on Mon....Lucky him that he managed to find another job quite fast.....He also mentioned that he has bought a new laptop!! Hahah....its so not of him but its not too late to learn new stuff.....Learning is lifelong experience, rite? So we exchanged email & told him to check out my online album & this blog....heheh....
Quite pissed off when I checked my son's school journal & the teacher gave a last minute request for parents to bring finger food for tomorrow's Children's Day celebration! Hubby was fumming and saying to ignore the request.....but mcm tak sampai hati gitu....So since its last minute, I just bought the fishballs & hotdogs....
Anugerah is currently shown live on air....Frankly speaking, I'm not rooting for any of the final 4 but heard that this Syed Azmir (pardon me on the spelling, if its not rite!) is like the next Taufik Batisah....We'll see...and this Khairil guy, he's so abang2 which reminds me of Chu!!! Hahaha....As for Khairul....shall not comment abt his voice, though....and left with the last chap, Fauzi....he's kindof cute (and they say he has a bad boy image??)...

.:: Last Day Of MC ::.
Today is the last day of my 2 weeks of medical leave.....so decided to stay at home instead of going to my parents'...Frankly speaking, I'm kindof fidgeting at home and feeling a bit restless about going back to work tomorrow....juz don't know why I'm feeling so....
Early this morning managed to watch The Amazing Race Family Edition but only till 10.40am when it was time to fetch my son from school....so I'm sort of in the dark as to which family was eliminated....its okay coz gonna be watching the repeat telecast later tonight....My guess would be that Italian family....coz they've been in last position most of the time....
I think I'm gonna get the flu bug....of all the days....must it be the last day of my MC???? Must have caught it from my little devil....he's sound asleep now...after been yelled at & forced to finish up his lunch....Poor him for having an evil mommy!
Past few days, been fiddling with the blog thingy and I'm doing ok...I've linked up my riding photos & some shots of my son....shall link up more pics when I'm back to work as most of the pics are at office...and shall post some pics when i get to see some great shots....i've lost touch with my photography skills and my SLR camera is becoming almost a white elephant in the store....hahaha!
I did a self pregnancy test earlier today and as usual its negative :( ... Been trying for almost a year and seems that we have to work harder (I guess he's happy abt working harder! Hah!) Its okay...its juz blum our rezeki....and ada hikmahnya....
Have faith in Him and with His will, the time of joy will come....

.:: The Countdown Begins... ::.
Left 2 days to go before I start working again.....Been contemplating for the past few days to start work today or not but ended up not to (Furthermore, my son woke up with a slight fever *excuses...excuses*)....again there's some calls from my sidekick at office to confirm on certain cases....Also heard that my covering partner wasn't quite happy that my sidekick has called me to check on a case...but wat de heck....he can call me anytime to check... I don't know what's her motive or intention of being unhappy at my sidekick....I don't see any harm done...
My kopi kaki cum team leader has called to ask if my mc is extended and at the same time saying that he missed drinking kopi with me.....Assured him that i'll be back by Thurs & we can go & have kopi together (for 2 more days before fasting month starts)....
The feelings are kindof mixed emotions....Happy gonna see frens & colleagues again....but slightly worried with the pile up of work (although I have a sidekick & covering partner)....and sad that the 2 weeks of MC ended so fast....I guess my stress level is gonna shoot up again once I start work on Thurs...more late nights to come, I suppose...
Did some fiddling again with my blog....there's still some room for improvement....past few days been a learning experience with this blog thingy....
Still thinking to come to my parents' place or juz laze around at home for my last 2 days of MC....we'll see..

.:: MotoGP ::.
Yesterday the kenduri went well....the food was slightly overestimated but everybody mananged to bring back a BIG share...Today was just another lazy Sunday for me....tried fiddling with blog again but i hate my home pc coz can't do certain things which i wanted....maybe juz gotto do the links at my parents' place since they have a broadband :) ...
Hubby ended up did not have any soccer tournament as most of his frens didn't turn up....what a waste!!! If not, we could have just drive up to Sepang to watch the MotoGP ...currently its live on air....but ambience not the same....Few minutes ago when i watched Rossi was in 4th position...not to worry as its juz the beginning of a few laps....hahaha....He'll be CHAMPION (again) by end of this season.....

.:: Busy Fiddling... ::.
For the past few hours I was busy fiddling & did some self learning on how to improve my blog....managed to add some links here & there....kindof new with this blog thingy so please be patient with me....Still contemplating to return back to work on next Mon or Thurs...but staff fr the BO has called my hp to report on a urgent case.....well everything is urgent but funny though, when he agreed to arrange for a site meeting till I'm back to work next week.....I guess, I need not contemplate anymore, huh....? Juz can't imagine how my email inbox gonna be when I'm back next week.....
My son has been a bit clingy these days....so get ready next week when I'm back to work...
As for Imah & Zam....they are not visiting me tonight....I did offer them to come to my late mom in law's place but they declined....gotto prepare the bergedil tonight as tomorrow is the kenduri......
Here I go again with the story of the corneal ulcer thingy with his relatives.....shall i juz print the blog and let them have the full story or should i juz gather them around and tell the story once? hahha.....we'll see how....

.:: Off Antibiotics, New IC & New Hairdo ::.
Went for my checkup at SNEC this morning.....good news as my Dr was cutting me off from the antibiotics (eyedrops) completely!!! yahooo....Anyway...its such a small world when I told Cik Nor abt my visits to SNEC....she happens to know the Dr I'm seeing as she ever worked with her before....
This morning I told my Dr that somebody sends her love fr Canada & she remembers Cik Nor very well....
After the check up, went to collect my new NRIC as ICA and they've added & removed some of the features (to be more forged proof, i supposed).....basically, its still an NRIC and its the most important document for a Singaporean....
By then it was only 10.35 am & I didn't feel like going home....so went to Tiong Bahru to have a haircut at Kimage....As usual, once seated & when opinions asked, the hairstylist didn't need much coaxing for me to do a rebonding.....I need it anyway, as my hair was unruly & didn't want to chop them off......so rebonding is the quickest (& most expensive) solution.....Sat for 3hrs to get it done & quite satisfied with the end product....didn't realise that my hair have grown.... :)

.:: Missing The Ride.... ::.
Last nite those 2 chaps postponed their visit as Zam was working....they are changing it to Friday instead....So we ended up catching the movie "Supercoss" instead together with bro in law & fiancee at Jurong East....My son was enjoying the show to the very bit & kept saying he enjoyed watching 'motor campak-campak'...Had supper at Al-Azhar before heading home....
Watching that movie, reminds me that its been quite a while that we haven't been going for a ride on his BMW GS1100 bike.....well the last trip was on May 05 when we went to Penang.....and we had a fall when we stopped at a 'tilted' junction....he simply can't reach the ground.....kalau da pendek...pendek jugak!!! Hahahha...With that fall, I have to suffer another exhaust burnt on my left calf.....the 1st burnt was when we were riding the Hayabusa (that's how i used the name of hayabusa_babe)......
I wonder when will we have another ride.....i guess not so soon as the Ramadhan month is around the corner......I juz miss the thrill (& at times sleeping on the bike when the ride is kindof long & boring...) of pillion riding......Simply missing the ride.....

.:: Road To Recovery ::.
My vision is getting better.....currently its wearing specs with insufficient 'degree of vision'....or wateva they call it technically.....Anyway....i'm still be resting at home till 28/09/05.....at least a breather from work...Heard that my boss is currently on leave till mid of this work....which reminds me he must be enjoying the sun, the sand & the sea at Phuket with his family...Left with my partner in crime who is suppose to 'clear' & cover part of my work.....still waiting for his call though, as he sms me last night that he will call before 11am...and now its past 11am
Btw, tonight i'll be having visitors....2 of my close frens are coming to visit me....hehehe....my bro lo a.k.a chu & mak mah....Chu was kindof unhappy as didn't notify him of my stay in the hospital...anyway...my house is in a mess but wat de heck...let them come....afterall they are visiting me, not viewing my house for a 1st time...hahaha...
Meanwhile...gotto go & apply my artificial tears....

.:: Corneal Ulcer ::.
Been recuperating at home since my discharged fr hospital last wed....warded due to this eye infection called the corneal ulcer.....main culprit -> CONTACT LENS!It all started with a mild discomfort on Thurs 08/09/05 & being ignorant went to work still wearing lenses... if only i knew.. :( By evening,it got worse so put some leftover eyedrops & went to bed hoping that it would go off....Anyway...it was not my 1st time having eye discomforts due to contact lens...
Pain got worse in the middle of the night & practically begged hubby dearest to bring me to the 24hr clinic....(Fri, we were supposed to drive up to Trengganu for a short getaway with my parents) After doing some check, the dr was telling that it could be a either corneal abrasion which is something not serious & would go off in a few days OR corneal ulcer ....something which he warned was serious & would caused permanent blindness & needs cornea transplant if not properly treated......He wrote me a referral letter to A&E telling me to admit myself in the hospital if things got worse in the afternoon.....Thinking that its just an abrasion.....took the eyedrops he prescribed & off we went to the eastern coast of Malaysia, Trengganu.......
During the journey, I could only squint my eyes each time i open them & most of the time i was closing them as it lessened the pain.....the pain was like as though there was something under the eyelid that just wouldn't go off.....more of an irritating pain than a throbbing pain.....When we stopped at Mersing for a toilet break, panic slowly crept into me as i discovered that my vision was slightly hazey on the right eye.....it was like a hazey day with a psi of 45 to 50.....and i have never experienced this vision before......the psi increased as we had lunch at Pekan.......it was no good......my dad was like rattling off & giving lectures & sermons about me going to this trip when knowing abt my serious eye condition.....blah..blah..blah.....so typical of him......my mama....she's cool....telling me that everything gonna be fine & reassured me that we could go to the local hospital at Trengganu if things got worse......
By the time we checked into the hotel, Permai Park Inn, there was only 1 thing in my mind & its the HOSPITAL! I need immediate medical attention......True enough after paying RM50 for registration & check up at the A&E of Kuala Trengganu Hospital, the drs diagnosed I had corneal ulcer & it was quite serious......they insisted that i had to be warded for 'aggresive' treatment or i could go BLIND....but i wasn't ready to be admitted as they told me that i would be there for 2 to 3 weeks....they even said that they currently have a patient who's been hospitalised for more than a month and not well enough to be discharged! 2 to 3 weeks?!!! FORGET IT! I told them to give me enough supply for me to go back to Spore & seek medical treatment at my own homeland......
Btw, what's with this mishap each time I go to Trengganu? Its like a curse for me each time i go there....the last time i went there in 1996 I had this torn ligament in my left knee (due to a fall) and went to SGH for treatment when I came back....now almost a decade i didn't return to the east coast of M'sia....its another unfortunate event.....feeling quite phobia in returning to that particular state of M'sia.....
OK back to the story....they gave me 2 types of hourly eye drops and managed to book a flight back to spore for myself, hubby & my son. In the middle of the night one of the drs from the hospital even came to the hotel lobby to pass another medication of eyedrop (something like a painkiller). I was touched by her gesture but at the same time felt afraid coz a dr giving me extra medication in the middle of the night would mean that I'm in serious trouble..........I was desperately thinking that was I gonna go BLIND??
The flight to Spore via KLIA was alright, although having this bad experience with the ticketing officer at Trengganu airport.....shall not eleborate the incident as don't wish to critisise other country's customer service since we have to improve on ours! KLIA seemed to be a place i need to go back coz 'can't see much' with the ulcer & needed to be seen in detail by moir! :)
It was afternoon by the time I was at SGH A&E and around 5pm plus when i gotto to see the eye specialist....yup she confirmed again its corneal ulcer & noted that i was partially treated in M'sia.....Got myself checked into an A class ward as my desired ward of class B1 was full......Anyway...they 'kicked' me to the B1 ward ( 2 bedded) the next day..... and the rest is history.....
For 5 days the nurses at Ward 63A of SGH without fail gave me hourly eye drops and was fit to go home last Wed. Now my eyedrops are reduced to 3 times a day & although my vision is not yet well, I'm glad that I've gotten back my vision! Boo hoo...no more contact lenses for me & gotto start thinking abt wearing fashionable glasses.....time to shop!!!
Learnt my lesson (although too late...) and now I'm banned from wearing lenses again as i can't afford to have my other eye to have the same problem......My advise to those avid contact lens wearers -> PLS CLEAN YOUR LENSES PROPERLY INCLUDING THE CASING!!!
